Wearing Kimono’s is something for special occasions, or at least in the past. That was then and this is now. Modernized kimono styles are being worn more and more as regular clothing in Tokyo and the fashion industry in Japan is happy to supply the style to young people all over Japan. A newer kimono style that has been around for awhile now is the gyaru/ageha kimono/yukata style: pastles, bright colors, lace, roses, false lashes, and glittering nails. Good examples of this can be seen in the summer editions of Popteen or Ahgeha magazines.
AMALOLI Fashion
Amaloli (sweet lolita) - The colors are mostly pastels, especially pink, although the main brand for sweet lolita is Angelic Pretty. They have deviated away from this color pallet a lot this year(2011). Common print themes are cute animals such as kittens, puppies, ponies, and bunnies; desserts and candies; flowers: and hearts. There is simple sweet and OTT sweet( Over-The-Top which is the more flashier version).
